Clean & Free

Clean from sin and free from bondage. How wonderful that is to me. You have cleansed me by Your blood and washed me white as snow. No stain from sin; no guilt or shame can cling to me, for I am free. Free from slavery to a deceptive ruler; free from the yoke of darkness that held me bound.

Even when I say yes to sin and yield again to shackles of death, this is not my portion, nor the reality of who I am. You call to me and remind me of who I am in You. You reassure my heart and strengthen my resolve to run after You.

You have made me clean and free. Help me to remember who I am in You. Help me to walk in the truth that You long to be a reality in my life. Too easily I succumb. Too easily I live the lie that I am bound. Blinded by the flesh, I yield to a master that is no longer mine.

Remind me of who lives in me. Help me to live as a sanctuary set apart for You - a dwelling place for Your presence. In You I am strong. In You, I am clean and free.
