Amazed at Your Goodness

You are worthy of all praise and adoration for You are a great God. You are glorious in power. Splendor is Yours, and all might and dominion, exists in Your hands. These things astound me and are beyond my comprehension to even fathom, yet what amazes me the most, is Your kindness and gentleness. You are God, so everything that belongs to One who is great and glorious, is Yours. Yet in the midst of Your splendor, You are merciful. In the radiance of Your glory, You are patient and kind.

The great minds of this world are often condescending. Those with money and fame easily make others feel small. You do neither. You limit Your glory so we can draw near. You veil Your majesty so we can walk as friends. You, who know and understand all, listen as we give voice to our thoughts and share from our limited understanding. 

My heart is easily overwhelmed by every glimpse of Your majesty, yet You shield me by Your love and keep me safe in Your care. I delight in You Lord. Not just in the wonder of Your glory and might, but also in the love that meets me where I am. Your gentleness is amazing. Your patience unfathomable, and Your goodness is my delight.
