The Smile of Heaven

There is no greater reward than seeing the smile in Your eyes. To sense Your approval means more than the acceptance of man, or the hall of fame written by human hands.

You listen to every word, weigh every action, and discern every thought. I know You do not look to criticize or condemn; You look to approve and reward. Every sin, every shortcoming, every failure, You have already removed by the blood of Your suffering. I am fully released from all that would disqualify or condemn. Now I am free in You. Free to give full expression to my heart’s desire. 

Do I want the easy, the comfortable, the blessings of Your abundant provision? Yes, I will enjoy all that You have provided, but there is something greater and deeper than a blessed life. There is a longing for a kingdom that is not of this world. There is the pursuit of purpose that transcends the mundane.

There is an awareness that You watch and You long for those who will seek You. They want more than blessing. They want the Blesser. They long for You. What You think and what You desire, matters to them. They strain to see what is not yet fully revealed. They search for the heart and purpose of the One who planned it. Their greatest delight is to live aware of Your smile and to fulfill Your pleasure.
