Goodness and Mercy
David had the audacity to declare that goodness and mercy would follow him all the days of his life. Not just the days when he walked in integrity, fully devoted to the Lord, but all his days; every day, and in every situation, goodness and mercy would be there for him.
For God’s Sake
Why is the forgiveness of our sins for God’s sake? I always assumed it was for ours. We are the ones who are forgiven of sin, released from bondage, made righteous, accepted, and free. So what does He gain from a painful, humiliating, sin atoning sacrifice?
Himself He Cannot Save
Even in their mockery, the chief priests and scribes echoed God’s purpose and plan. Jesus had saved others, but Himself He could not save.
Don’t Remember What God Forgot
We no longer need to live under guilt regarding our past or shame over what has been. We can choose to forget, because God already has.
Following the Unseen
To live in the midst of mystery and walk by faith is a challenge for our minds and at times our emotions.
Blood on the Door
Jesus declared in John 10 that He was the Door. His blood, shed on the cross of Calvary, is the door of our salvation.
