Home is more than a house we live in or being with the people who raised us. It’s the yearning to belong, the reaching of our hearts to be welcomed and celebrated. Home is not only connected to our memories, but also our dreams.

A friend is someone we turn to when we’re in need, someone who helps us, stands by us, and never abandons us during tough times.

Is this how we see Jesus?

Father wants to connect with the prodigals. He also wants to connect with the performers.

None of us have the ability in our own flesh or humanity to fulfil the righteous requirements of the Law. Jesus however did this for us.

In a world where acceptance comes through performance, the longing for a scapegoat is very real.
